F.A.Q
Frequently Asked Questions
How long will it take to roof my house?
An average size residential roof can be removed and replaced with 3-Tab composition or laminated composition shingles in one day. A large home may take a day or two longer. In the event that the roof takes more than one day to complete, only the part of the roof we can finish that day will be removed. No part of the roof will be exposed over night.
When do I have to pay for my roof?
Plains Roofing does not require prepayment or deposits before the work is done. We request payment only after completion of the roofing work. If an insurance claim is involved, a payment upon completion is expected, followed by the balance of the claim when you receive the second payments from your insurance company.
Is the work supervised?
Yes, there are normally 5 to 8 laborers working on your roof at any given time. There is a foreman on the job at all times and also a roving manager that comes by several times a day.
Are there any additional charges other than what is quoted on the estimate?
All estimates include tax, labor, and material. Normally there are no additional costs beyond the agreed estimate amount. Occasionally during the roof replacement process we discover the roof has rotten decking which was not visible during the estimate process. In order to provide the customer with the highest quality roof possible we like to replace any rotten decking. If there are additional costs associated with the replacement of the rotten decking we always inform the homeowner of the additional amounts before any of the work is done.
How long before you can start on my roof?
We can schedule the roofing work around your schedule so give us a call today.
