| Commercial Flat Roofs--
Modified Bitumen--
Most commercial flat roofs are either built up or Modified Bitumen.
Built up roofs consist of 2 to 3 layers (plys) of asphalt felt mopped on
with hot ashphalt, and coated with a layer of molten asphalt and gravel.
Modified Bitumen roofs consist of 1 to 3 layers of asphalt felt mopped on
with hot asphalt followed by a layer of Modified Bitumen.
Modified Bitumen-is a roofing material in roll form that has a similar consistency to rubber.
Modified Bitumen comes in many colors or comes plain, allowing you to paint
or coat it with something else. |

These shingles are commonly known as 3-tabs and are made of ashphalt and fiberglass.
They come in two different thicknesses, and offer two different warranties 20 or 25 year.
A variety of colors are made by several different manufacturers

| Laminated--
These shingles are also made of asphalt and fiberglass
They too come in different thicknesses and weights.
They are available in 25, 30, 40, or lifetime warranties
Laminate shingles are compositon shingles that are glued together to add
dimension and style, and to simulate the look of wood shingles.
The advantage of this shingle is acheiving the look of wood at a much lower
price while also providing a greater degree of fire protection. |

| Maxi-tile -- These shingles can be made of clay or simulated clay.
They come in a variety of styles, shapes and colors.
These shingles are a more permanent roof and are heavier in weight In fact, some
roofs have to be rebraced to accomodate the extra weight.
These roofs look better on Spanish style or Mediterranean style homes
and are can be extremely expensive. |

| WOOD
Cedar
comes in 3 grades.(#1,#2,#3)
These shingles are machine cut and come in 16" or 18" lengths
Shake
These shingles are hand split, and smooth cut on one side. They come in Medium, Heavy,
or Jumbo thicknesses, and they vary slightly in thickness from and have a rustic look to them.
These shingles look best on ranch style houses! |
